The project consists of the modernization of the existing Power Plant Landside (CELT) at El Prat Airport (Barcelona, in Spain).
The performance at the CELT focuses on the power plant building, which is composed of several areas:
- First floor
- Upper floor
- Service gallery
- Transformer park
- Generator set halls
The main activities consist of the supply, assembly, testing and commissioning, without affecting the airport’s operation, of:
- 36 kV switchgear (76 units)
- 24 kV switchgear (10 units)
- Grounding reactors
- Generator set control system
- Electrical control system
- Integration of the new control systems into the airport’s SCADA system
- Electrical panels
- Electrical conduits
- Medium voltage lines (36 and 24 kV)
- Direct current power supply system (48 Vdc)
- Fire detection and dry fire extinguishing system
- Ventilation system
- Lighting installation
As well as the dismantling and removal of the obsolete equipment and the civil works renovation of the building necessary for the new distribution of the new equipment.
The work is carried out in several phases, which are previously agreed with the client, in order to minimize the impact on the operation of the airport.
